Future Comfort Products LLC is committed to making futurecomfortproducts.com usable by everyone, including people who browse and shop using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.
Our target standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our target standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
Where we are today
Accessibility is an ongoing effort for us, not a finished project. We do not claim that our store is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA at this time. We review our site as we add products and features, and we fix the barriers we find. We would rather tell you honestly where we stand than post a claim we cannot back up.
Measures we have in place
- Semantic HTML structure — headings, lists, and landmarks are marked up so assistive technology can announce page structure and let you skip between sections.
- Keyboard navigation — menus, product pages, the cart, and checkout can be reached and operated without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.
- Alternative text on product images — we add descriptive alt text to product photography so the item can be understood without seeing the picture.
- Sufficient colour contrast — body text, buttons, and price and sale labels are chosen to stay legible for low-vision and colour-blind shoppers.
- Resizable text — the layout reflows and remains usable when text is enlarged in the browser, so no content is cut off or overlapped.
- Form labels and error messages — contact and checkout fields are labelled and errors are described in text, not by colour alone.
Known limitations
We want to be specific about the gaps we are aware of:
- Third-party apps. Some features on the store — such as reviews, chat, and marketing pop-ups — are provided by third-party Shopify apps whose code we do not control. Parts of these may not yet be fully keyboard accessible or screen-reader friendly.
- Supplier-provided product images. Many product photos and image-based spec charts come from our suppliers. Some carry text inside the image, and some have alt text that is less descriptive than we would like. We are improving these as we audit the catalogue.
- Embedded video. Supplier product videos may not always include captions.
If one of these limitations stops you from getting information you need or from completing a purchase, contact us and we will help you directly.
Report an accessibility barrier
If you run into a page, product, or step in checkout that you cannot use, please tell us. Your report is the fastest way for us to find and fix a real problem.
- Email: futurecomfortproducts@gmail.com
- Phone: (623) 332-3244
It helps if you can include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using — but please get in touch even if you cannot provide those details.
We aim to respond to every accessibility report within 3 business days. If you need any information on this site — product details, pricing, order status, or our policies — in an alternative format, such as plain text, large print, or read to you over the phone, ask us and we will provide it at no charge.
